This being my first post and thus the seed of what is to come I feel it necessary to explain a few things about me and my decision to even create this blog. First off, it took some time to even think of what to name it. However, upon careful consideration I decided on The Paradoxical Times because it was a shorter, more feasible title than my original thoughts. I wanted to name it The Faith, Trials, and Humor Genome Paradox. You may think...that doesn't even make sense...but maybe upon explanation you will see the light...so to speak. A genome is a set of chromosomes given by the parents of whatever is created, right? Well, this blog would be created by the combination of chromosomes given by the parents of faith, trials, and humor. A paradox is something that seems absurd but could be true. So, my blog would thus be created from the faith, trials, and humor my life consists of which seem absurd but could be true. Maybe that wouldn't make sense, as I suggested earlier, and so I shortened it. You could always tell me what you think, but just remember that I already know I'm eccentric and quirky.
Second, my reasoning for even wanting to start a blog. A good friend of mine started a blog after going away to school...she along with some of our mutual friends will know who she is...and she inspired me in a way. I took notice of the way her blog allowed her to keep in mass contact with the people she missed and cared about most. As I found myself thinking more and more about home each day I decided that maybe it was time to create my own blog. Writing has proven to be a moderately successful outlet for me in the past and so I figured a blog would be an excellent way for me to inform those interested about the fun, entertaining, and sometimes crazy happenstances that occur in my most often monotonous life.
Over the last year or so I have experienced more things than I thought possible and learned a great deal more about myself, life and the lessons it teaches. I once heard someone say that life is a good teacher, and now more than ever I wholeheartedly agree...so why not share!?! Only time will tell how successful this idea will prove to be. Hopefully, no matter what, it will be entertaining and life as I know it will be realistically identified.
